A Skills Development Facilitator (SDF) is a designated professional who is appointed to serve as a liaison between the SETA and the organisation. SDFs are responsible for the planning, implementation and reporting of skills development training interventions in an organisation to ensure compliance with the Skills Development Act. This intensive 10-day training course covers all aspects of the role and function of a skills development facilitator.

  • Expert Resource: Skills Development Act, National Qualifications Act, Skills Development Levies Act, SAQA Act, BBBEE Act, BCEA, Labour Relations Act and EEA in terms of skills development
  • Establish training and/or employment equity committees
  • Learning Needs Analysis: Strategically align learning and development (L&D)
  • Skills Development Plan: Smart framework to ensure that goals are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound
  • Strategic Planning: Skills audits, identify gaps, pivotal training programmes that align with the company’s goals
  • Regulatory Compliance: Completion of all legislative reports
  • Mandatory Reporting: WSP, ATR & Pivotal Reporting (purpose & objective)
  • Liaison: Serve as the primary contact between the employer, employees, and the SETA
  • ROI: Unlock mandatory and discretionary grants to reclaim SDL contributions
  • Registration as an SDF with the SETAs

Training Cost Includes:

  • Facilitation by a highly qualified subject matter expert
  • Comprehensive workbook, handouts & templates
  • Certificate of completion

Terms and Conditions:

  • As training is not a recoverable item, entrance will NOT be permitted to unpaid delegates
  • Payment is required prior to attendance and may be made no later than the day of the training intervention
  • Only make payment once you have received a tax invoice
  • A digital certificate will be issued. No hard copies will be printed
  • Classes may be rescheduled if there are fewer than three enrolments per group
