Update: Enrolment Extension in SETA Learnerships

Learner Enrolment Extension

We are delighted with the recent development in the skills development space! Skills Junction‘s accredited legacy qualifications have been extended, allowing us to enroll learners on learnership programmes over the next one or two years as a SETA accredited skills development training provider.

What does this mean? This means that businesses and employers can continue to sponsor employees, unemployed youth, and people with disabilities with learnership programmes while earning maximum B-BBEE points through skills development, providing ongoing vocational learning and development for the labour market.

Announcement via Government Gazette

The Department of Education and Minister of Education, Science, and Innovation, Dr. Blade Nzimande, announced the extension of the historical qualifications via the Government Gazette. The majority of the Skills Junction learnership programmes, which were set to expire on June 30, 2024, have been extended for one year, to 2025, with the option to extend further to 2026. Skills development training providers play a significant role in the skills development value chain. Employers and learners rely on the availability of accredited skills development providers for access to skills development training; as such, Skills Junction is thrilled to continue providing comprehensive training and development opportunities.
