LEARNER SUPPORT

Learner Support

The most significant distinction between applying for a learning programme through Skills Junction and applying directly with a company is the ongoing mentorship and support provided by our team. Undertaking any learning programme, whether a learnership and skills programme or short courses, is both challenging and rewarding, but it can also be a little intimidating when you first begin. Learner support is another critical component of an effective learning environment; it focuses on what the facilitators or assessors can or should do to assist learners beyond the formal delivery of content or skill development. Here are a few examples of what we offer in way of learner support; 1) Keeping you on track with training commitments related to completing the qualification. 2) Regular check-ins to provide guidance and advice on dealing with workplace issues and challenges. 3)Taking you through work readiness skills training and induction so you know exactly what to expect on your first day on the job. 4) Assistance in resolving any personal or professional issues that may be impeding your completion of your qualification.

Learner support in a diverse classroom strikes a good balance between theoretical learning and hands-on practical workplace training that learners experience concurrently. Our learner support is designed to give users a simple way to complete all learning tasks successfully, access help and assistance, keep track of all of their learning requirements, and ultimately succeed. Our resources include but not limited to;

  • E-Learning Library >We have an ever-expanding library of e-learning course materials and books available 24/7.
  • Learner Dashboard >Each user has their own dashboard, which summarizes their learning activities and keeps them up to date on all assignments and information alerts.
  • Counselling >This source is incorporated into our design of effective learning programmes, with the goal of doing everything possible to ensure that learners succeed while meeting academic standards.
  • Inclusion >If a learner is unable to learn in the manner in which we transfer skills, we facilitate learning in the manner in which they can learn in order to accelerate their progress academically, socially, and with their life skills.
  • Facilitator Assistants and Support Staff >Our facilitator assistants and support staff receive ongoing training to help them become more reflective, confident, and innovative by deepening their understanding of classroom pedagogy and making themselves available for administrative assistance and academic support.

These short courses are intended to re-dress socioeconomic factors that prevent youth from completing their studies, such as a lack of school structures, a negative attitude toward inclusive education policy, poverty, and a variety of other obstacles.
