A Learnership is at best a 12-month training programme by means of theoretical classroom contact combined with practical on-the-job learning to gain a formal qualification. Learnerships are managed by the Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETAs) and were introduced by Government to drive and transform skills development in South Africa. The primary aim of learnership is to address the gap between the current education and training provided to our youth and the need of the labour market. Learnerships are central to skills upliftment in South Africa and for this reason they are seen as priority programmes in the B-BBEE Codes and by the SETAs. Skills Junction offers:
